What is Mediation?
Mediation is a neutral process structured by a neutral mediator. The mediator provides a structure and opportunity for two or more people to discuss and resolve their disputes. Mediation can be structured to accommodate power imbalances to ensure that all participants have an equal and meaningful opportunity to participate in the mediation. Mediation relies on all participants wanting to reaching a resolution without needing to go to court, but can be a faster and less expensive method of dispute resolution relative to litigation.

Accredited Mediation Support
David W. Cahill, our managing lawyer, is an Accredited Family Mediator with the Ontario Association of Family Mediators.
He understands that people seeking family law services are going through a period of family transition. Sometimes that transition starts from a place of separation or divorce, and other times from a place of anticipating a marriage or new living arrangement. David’s role is to guide you through your transition.
David successfully helps clients mediate resolutions on a wide range of family law disputes, including parenting plans, child support, spousal support, equalization, pension division issues, and trust claims.
